we have taken stands against injustices,
If you can’t march or ride in the parade, we still need your help. We need help with our festival booth, constructing a float, creating marketing materials, and we need help to offset the cost of the Pride Ads and expenses associated with Pride. If you would like to make a donation, please mark in the memo portion of your check “LGBT Outreach.” If you have any questions, please see Bill Grulich, Linda Severance, or Pastor Tricia.

Study Group Join our group for a discussion about the book, Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. In this profoundly affecting memoir, Ali tells her astonishing life story, from her traditional Muslim childhood in Somalia, to her life in the Netherlands with her awakening, activism and fierce criticisms of Islam. Also coming next month...
Wednesday, June 11 • 7:00 PM Movie night! Join us for a viewing and discussion of the movie, Kundun. Although this movie is excellent, few people have seen it. Released in 1997 Kundun tells the story of the Dalai Lama’s formative years; the search and discovery of the incarnation of their ruler up through the invasion of Tibet by China. The director weaved the core philosophy of Buddhism in this wonderful tale. Popcorn and other snacks will be served.
Saturday Morning Book Adventure: Ulysses The study group continues its journey through Ulysses, led by Pastor Patrick on Saturday, March 15th at 9:00 AM. The group is examining the historical context, writing style, literary quality, and impact of Ulysses, written by James Joyce, on the modern reader. The study group is open to all interested individuals; no need for a literary background in Joyce, only an interest in sharing ideas and voyaging through life’s odyssey.

Our own Dr. Olivia Masih White will present a workshop on stem cell research on that day. This is a very controversial subject which is in the news very often these days, and promises to be of interest to all of us Pilgrim women. All Pilgrim women and their guests are invited to bring a dish to share on this morning. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
A note from the film series group organizer: "Hi – Hard to believe it has

invite a friend to come with you. –Rob This month's movie will be: Then She Found Me; 2008; RATED: R / RUNNING TIME: 100 minutes; Starring: Helen Hunt, Bette Midler, Colin Firth, Matthew Broderick and John Benjamin Hickey April, an elementary school teacher, learns – in the same week that her husband leaves her and her mother dies – that her birth mother is actually a local talk show host, and begins a relationship with the father of one of her students, a union that's ultimately complicated by the revelation that she's pregnant with her ex's child. We will attend the 7:35 screening at the Cedar Lee on Sunday, May 11.
