Pilgrim Church School            Pilgrim Youth Groups            Nursery

We welcome all children to our church school program at Pilgrim Church. The most important part of our children’s program is our Sunday morning worship and class time.

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for our children to grow in their relationship with God, to experience and reflect on the Bible, and to share in the life of this community of faith.

It is our hope that our young people will then sense and respond to God’s call to live out their faith in works of justice, mercy, and peace at church, at home, and in their community.

Our Sunday School program is detailed below. Click here to learn more about our youth program.

We offer five (5) Sunday School classes:

bulletPreschool (ages 3 and up)/Kindergarten
bulletFirst, Second & Third Grade
bulletFourth, Fifth, & Sixth Grade
bulletJunior High
bulletHigh School

Classes are taught by volunteers from the congregation. During the 2006-07 school year, high school students will be engaged in a thought provoking study of biblical and modern day prophets. Younger students will be guided through an enlightening curriculum called Gather Round. A joint project of Brethren Press and the Mennonite Publishing Network, this Bible story-centered curriculum emphasizes strengthening the connection between church and home, discipleship, and peace and justice issues.

In addition, Pilgrim Church offers a nursery for children up to age 3 on a weekly basis. Click here for more information.

Children in the Sunday School program attend the first part of worship with the congregation, then go to their classrooms with their teachers at a designated point in the service. Other opportunities for children to participate in worship are the Children's Choir and Children's Message.

Our children participate in the worship life of Pilgrim Church with activities such as:
